Exercises you can do at home
Last week Nuez de la Beard talked about how injuries might de-rail your healthy lifestyle. Recovering from an injury is so hard; being patient with your body is more work than the physical recovery. Nuez de la India, just like giving your body time, keeps you feeling calm and in charge despite your world being upside down. When you give your body rest and a delicious cup of Nuez de la India you can recover and get healthier, stronger, faster, better. Here are some helpful tips for “exercises” that you can do at home.
If you are recovering from an injury take the time to map out your body. What part of your body is injured? Is it one that is part of your usual routine? If you pulled your back out you have to proceed with caution since your back is an integral part of your total body. Before you do anything, you should speak to your doctor if you have any concerns regarding how to exercise without re-injuring yourself. Once you have a clear idea of what part of you is injured, the severity of the injury and your doctor is okay with you working on your fitness than proceed.
Make a map of your body
At home exercises are meant to balance your life while you recover. Once you have been able to map out your body and determine where your injury is then you can think about the opposite side of your map. If you hurt your leg then you can work on your arms, your core and your shoulders. If you injured your lower back then you can work your core and your arms. If you hurt your arms then you can do leg exercises. A body map is imperative in order for you to effectively work out and recover. Even if you do not have an injury, please take the time to focus on what you want to achieve with these at home exercises.
It Starts in the Kitchen
Find a place that you –can— work out in before you do anything. Even if you throw your yoga mat down in the middle of your kitchen! Here are some easy at home exercises for you to do which take a few minutes but will have you charged up for the day.
- Squats – doing a few squats can give you that beautiful booty.
- Push-ups – modify the ‘traditional’ push-up by putting your knees on the ground. You still use all of the same energy to push yourself up and down without worrying about ‘proper form’
- Crunches – ab exercises can be fun if you want them to be. Laying on the ground lifting your legs is an ab work out!
- Planks – Doing a plank is enough of a work out that if you do a few of them you’re a rock star. Holding a plank can be the most challenging thing you do all day. Think about how toned and beautiful your body will be! Even if you are recovering from an injury planks do nothing but tone your arms, shoulders, back, glutes, and core.
Now that you’ve got a few ideas think about how your daily routine is changed. You start your nights with Nuez de la India and begin your mornings with new found energy thanks to a few minutes on your gym mat and a restful night brought to you by Nuez de la India!
