OH NO! YOUR FIRST INJURY!
The worst thing possible happened – you injured yourself and now you can’t exercise. For many of having an injury that keeps you from the gym can be devastating. Without that outlet many people turn to binge eating and go kind of bonkers from the lack of endorphins. There are other ways to keep the pounds off if you’ve hurt yourself so don’t worry. Nuez de la India is here to make sure that you can rehab AND stay in control of your beautiful bod.
All depending on your injury your doctor will be the first person to tell you what you can or cannot do. Even if you can’t get to the gym there may be the option of swimming or aqua aerobics. If that is completely out of the question than don’t sweat it, there are other ways to stay in charge of your life. Just grab a cup of Nuez de la India and settle in for this easy ready.
Recovering from an injury is hard work for your body. In addition to the extra rest that you need you will need to ice, compress and elevate. Don’t eat extra rice but you can enjoy all of that extra RICE! The extra rest is extra good for your body – not only does Nuez de la India work overtime while you sleep but your body spends those extra hours recharging and repairing itself. The human body is a very cool thing, after all.
In addition to avoiding straining yourself think about what you can do to feel like you’re really focused on keeping your body clean. Do you have a food journal? If you are planning meals then this should be easy. You will know exactly what you’re putting into your body and you won’t have to sweat worry about breaking your cast (you won’t – don’t worry!). The human body needs a certain number of calories a day in order for it to function so give your body what it needs. Remember, lots of green, leafy things puts extra iron back into your system. That iron can help you heal and help you feel so good.
When you’re relaxing at the end of the day and enjoying your cup of Nuez de la India take the time to stretch. There are many ways to stretch parts of your body that don’t involve exacerbating any injury that you may have. If you have a pulled Achilles tendon then you can do push-ups. If you have a broken arm then you can do crunches. There are always ways for you to work around things – that’s what they call in the yoga world “modifications.” Keeping your belly clean and your body free of toxins is Nuez de la India’s job. Your job is to get better and stronger.
