Superfoods for a Weight Loss Super Boost
As you can probably already guess, we think one of the best superfoods for super weight loss is our very own Nuez de la India. But there are lots of other foods that can help, too! Here are some of our favorites.
The humble banana? Yep, you heard it here first. This mild, sweet, and (in most places) inexpensive fruit is positively packed with good stuff. Bananas help keep your blood sugar stable and stave off hunger pangs with their high fiber content, while their vitamin and mineral content keep your body healthy and happy. Not only that, but one medium banana is only about 100 calories—a great go to snack if you’re keeping track!

You might have to hit up a health food store for these bad boys, but boy are they worth it. Appetite control with their fiber content is a given, but their real selling point is the chromium they have in them. Chromium is a powerful and necessary mineral for stabilizing blood sugar and steering your body to lose fat rather than muscle when you have a calorie deficit.
High in healthy fats and fiber, avocados are the reigning veggie when it comes to satiating cravings, and we’re not just talking personal experience here. There have been actual studies proving as much, with overweight participants that add avocado to their meals having a seriously decreased desire to snack between meals.
Kale is still one of the most popular superfoods… and we can see why. It’s ultra low calorie, but is a vitamin, nutrient, and antioxidant powerhouse. It can be prepared any number of ways (if you haven’t made crunchy oven kale chips, you have to try ‘em. Kale is also a great source of antioxidants!
One of our personal favorites! Protein packed, fiber-full, and an excellent source of omega-3s, you’ll have to look far and wide to find a healthier, more well-rounded snack than almonds! Add to that the fact that they’re great at keeping your sticking fingers out of the other less healthy snacks in the pantry and their muscle-preserving testosterone boosting power, and you’ve got a bona fide superfood.
Delicious, nutritious, and some of your best allies on your weight loss journey: superfoods. Remember, food isn’t the enemy! What you eat can actually help you meet your goals.
